West Paterson Volunteer Fire Department, serving the Borough of Woodland Park, is responsible for protecting 3 square miles and a population of 12,600 people.The West Paterson Volunteer Fire Department has been in
existence since the birth of our community in 1914. We are a 100% VOLUNTEER organization with
approximately 75 dedicated men and women. Our department consists of 3 fire companies: Company
#1 (on West 35th Street), Company #2 (on McBride Ave. across from B.G. School) and Company #3
(located on Rifle Camp Road). Each fire company is responsible for maintaining their own building;
including, (but not limited to), paying utility bills, roof repairs, AND maintaining the heating & air
conditioning systems.
